French Roulette Special Rules
If you bet on an even money spot (red/black, even/odd, or high/low) and the ball lands in ‘0′, you don’t lose it immediately. Instead, it is considered to be ‘en prison’ – chips are left in place and the wheel is spun again. If you win on the second spin, you get your money back. If you don’t, you lose.
Want to cut your losses instead? If you are in the same situation as described above, you can invoke the ‘La Partage’ rule before the wheel is spun. This allows you to salvage 50% of your original bet by surrendering the other half to the house – think of it as posting bail.
